Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a SQE & AS Engineer at KIA MALAYSIA SDN BHD, located in Assembly Plant, Gurun, Kedah. The SQE & AS Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Quality team by managing the supplier quality audit and aftersales.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive - someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple cross-functional touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interface between KMY and Assembler/ KSM/ Local Suppliers.
2. Coordinate periodical meeting between companies to updates issues, follow-up progress, establish communication & flows, and management decision making.
3. To coordinate customer complaint issues (from KSM) and follow-up FAR for countermeasure (from factory & local supplier)
4. To attend problem at site (KSM) & Clients) in order to understand issues and discuss for action plan.
5. To coordinate and establish Technical Service Buletin (TSB) for KSM to apply at After Sales.
6. To coordinate Quality Campaign program together with KSM/Assembler/Local suppliers.
7. To receive monthly After Sales claim report progress.
8. To visit local supplier facilities and observing the manufacturing environment & facilities and assess their procedures & performance.
9. To perform regular quality control audits to ensure local supplier continue to work in compliance with KIA/KMY standards.
10. To review incoming parts from local supplier to check for defects and ensure quality are in place.
11. To provide technical advice and guidance to local suppliers in order to maintain quality and reduce defect rates.
12. To serve as a liaison between KMY and local suppliers to identify quality issues and come up with solutions.
13. To provide daily/ weekly/ monthly reports for management.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering (automotive, industrial, mechanical, electrical & electronic)
- Minimum 2 years experience in automotive and manufacturing / automotive sales & service industries
- Good knowledge in automotive and manufacturing processes, quality standards, engineering principles and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently and handle multiple assignment.
- Willing to travel whenever required
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, reconciliations).
